Kitchen LAN 2012

As a joke, sometime during the spring, the word: "QH-lan" was entered into a vocalization program, coded to english with a heavy french accent. After listening to it numerous times, laughing at the silly sound like 10 year olds, everyone was in agreement that it sounded alot like "Kitchen LAN". More jokes spun from this. Alot more jokes, and since it was such a funny concept, everyone was on the same page that a LAN called Kitchen LAN had to take place. Realistically though, a true Kitchen LAN seemed a bit optimistic, since nobody´s kitchen was fit for a LAN. But since BPS had recently moved to a new, bigger place, it was deemed a good idea to have the LAN there. During the summer, when most people had their vacations, a date was set and this, what started off as a joke, became reality.

Apart from drinking alot of beer, eating alot of good food and enjoying eachothers company, competitions were held.
The StarCraft 2 2on2 tournament ended up being won by the lethal combination of razor and grisling.
The QW mix tournament, consisting of a single elimination duel tournament on the new map Subterfuge, an oldcrat tournament where the player dealing the least amount of damage in a FFA setting got knocked out to leave one man standing at the end, and a instagib ssg-rail tournament on xmastree. Carapace took the victory in this one winning the grand trophy. A prize for biggest "excel of oneself" was given to devogen, who ended up third in the mix tournament, having by far the least experience among the participants. The prize was a signed vest of everyone participating in the LAN.
A big shoutout to bps´ girlfriend has to be given, for putting up with lazy, overgrown boys with their toys and making our stay at bps´ place a pure joy.
